Through First Baptist's long history, church members have sacrificed to provide outstanding facilities for worship, Christian education, outreach, and celebration. These spaces range from the serenity of the original church building's rose garden to the multimedia connectivity of The Link. FBC has pursued excellence, beauty, and functionality for generations of worshippers.
The Sanctuary
Built in 1929, this stunning and unique sanctuary has provided the context for weekly worship and for key moments of member's lives. The ceiling soars sixty feet above, and the front arches are adorned with beautiful frescoes. The stained glass tells the story of scripture, with Old Testament scenes on the north and New Testament symbols on the south. While the sanctuary has a seating capacity of over 1500, the layout with the wrap-around balcony preserves a close connection with the platform and with other worshippers.
The Chapel
Renovated in 2001, the 200 seat chapel provides a beautiful space for weddings, funerals, Bible Study, and Wednesday evening services.
The Exterior
In November, 2010, First Baptist celebrated the completion of the exterior renovation of the church. This extensive project provides beautiful outdoor space with arched walkways, landscaping, and increased accessibility.
