These words help describe First Baptist Church's desire for people of all ages grow in Christ.
Here is how each of our age-group ministries builds upon each other to provide opportunities for
growing, serving, and sharing!
Preschoolers
Parents and teachers help build the foundation for faith in a child's life. Preschoolers can
understand that God made the world, and made them, and that he loves them very much!
Foundational teaching in the preschool years builds a base for conversion and spiritual formation
later in life.
Children
We desire to give children the opportunity to hear, understand, and accept God's grace for
salvation through Christ's sacrifice on the cross. As children begin a personal relationship with
God, we encourage them, through missions, bible study, worship, and much more, to grow in
Christ.
Students
Our ultimate goal is for students to take ownership of their faith. Their faith becomes personal;
it is no longer their families faith, it is their own. Students make decisions and live life based on
their own commitment and relationship to Christ.
College
College is the time where students will make some of their most important decisions that will
forever impact the rest of their lives. It is a time in life when students begin to define who they
are in life and in faith, and how they will live out their faith. A life defined in Christ becomes a
lifestyle devoted to glorifying Christ with who we are and the decisions we make.Young Adults
Young adults need engagement on all levels: at work, at home, at church, in the community, and
most importantly with their God. We encourage young adults to engage their community with a
solid biblical foundation, taking their faith from church and home to the world around them.
Adults
With busy careers, emptying nests, and caring for aging parents, adults are pulled in many
directions. Through relationships, Bible study, worship, and much more, First Baptist Church
encourages adults to invest, to thrive, and to stay connected to their church family.
Senior Adults
We challenge senior adults with opportunities to pass along their experiences, their wisdom, and
their maturity of faith in God to family and friends by "giving back" to other ministries, groups,
and people in our church and community who need strong examples of leadership, prayer, and
service. No one is ever too old to contribute to the work of the kingdom!
