Woman's Missionary Union is an organization that strives to challenge Christian believers to understand and be radically involved in the mission of God. Since beginning in 1888, WMU has been true to its basic purpose: missions.
• WMU creates an environment to hear and understand God's call and receive nurturing in that call.
• WMU creates an awareness and sensitivity toward people of other cultures and languages as people whom God loves.
• WMU leads congregations to pray for missions needs and give to special missions offerings, and helps a church fulfill its mission wherever it is.
• WMU leads people to experience missions personally through ministry and witness.
