STUDENTS BREAKAWAY 2020
Students and parents-
We know right now there is so much uncertainty and change happening in our world. We never thought we would be where we are today, and we understand things have been difficult.
Over the last few weeks, we’ve prayerfully considered our summer schedule, specifically Breakaway. We love Breakaway for so many reasons: we value the role Breakaway plays in our ministry; we believe camp provides a fantastic atmosphere for us to break-away from distractions and put our focus on God; and simply put, we love camp.
After consultation with our camp site and our own community, we have made the difficult decision to not attend Camp Table Rock for Breakaway on May 24-29.
Multiple factors have led us to this decision: 1) the health and safety of our students and adults; 2) the reality that we may not be able to legally host large gatherings of people by May 24; 3) the financial implications of attending Breakaway with much smaller numbers than anticipated; and 4) the financial implications that many of our families face in choosing to send their students to camp and continue to provide for their families.
While we will not physically be at Breakaway May 24-29, this does not mean we will not provide an opportunity for students to focus on the Lord and to worship with one another during this time. We are in the planning stages for a few different opportunities this summer!
