MEN,

“…if we realize that obedience is the end, then each moment as it comes is precious.”  - OSWALD CHAMBERS

In his devotion that contains this quote, Chambers stresses throughout that God’s training comes through our lives’ CURRENT experiences and our responses to those experiences.  He cautions against dreaming of His purpose.

I am not a dreamer.  Perhaps that is the result of being the son of a cemetery caretaker and a cook.  My mother had a lot of dreams and at the top of the list was moving out of the caretaker’s “house” inside the cemetery and into a decent home in an acceptable neighborhood.  That dream became reality for her five or six years before her passing.

“We have nothing to do with the afterwards of obedience; we get wrong when we think of the afterwards.  What men call training and preparation; God calls the end.”  - OSWALD CHAMBERS

“TRUST AND OBEY, FOR THERE’S NO OTHER WAY TO BE HAPPY IN JESUS, BUT TO TRUST AND OBEY.” – DANIEL B. TOWNER & JOHN H. SAMMIS

Blessings to you and yours,
