On Sunday evening, May 3, our Personnel Committee will recommend Jordan Davis as Minister to Young Adults. Jordan is married to Heather, and they have one child, Jesse Wayne.

Presently, Jordan serves as Youth and College Minister in a large BGCT congregation. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies and Philosophy from Oklahoma Baptist University, a Master of Divinity Degree from Baylor’s Truett Seminary, and a Master of Theology from The University of Edinburgh’s New College Divinity School.

Here’s what folks are saying about Jordan:

Dr. Scott Gibson, retired Preaching Professor, Truett Seminary: “Jordan’s strengths are preaching/teaching and caring for people.”

David Cozart, Minister of Education, Meadowbrook Baptist Church, Waco: “Jordan is a team player and would make a great addition to the strong staff at FBCA. Jordan was a bright and shining star at Truett.”

Matt Homeyer, Pastor, Trinity Baptist Church, San Antonio: “I’m hard-pressed to think of someone with more potential than Jordan Davis.”

Dr. Ron Cook, retired Professor, Truett Seminary: “If I ever had a brighter student, I can’t remember who it would be. He is a winner, no doubt about it. I wonder how First Baptist Amarillo keeps drawing the best talent in the state.”

Craig Curry, Director of Missions, Lubbock Baptist Association: “Jordan and his wife Heather are in ministry together. He was such an outstanding Truett student that he had the prestigious opportunity to continue his studies in Edinburgh.”

David Wilhite, Ph.D. student, SMU: “You can always count on Jordan to do the right thing. He’s an incredibly good human being.”

Ty Gist, Youth Minister, First Baptist Church, Longview: “Jordan is intelligent, thoughtful, intentional, and a person of high integrity.”

Come meet Jordan and Heather on Sunday afternoon, May 3, 4:00-5:45 p.m., Family Life Center Grande Room.
